JSNA 2009 1.4 Migrant population
Summary
The focus of this section is on the economic migrant population in the county. The UK and Northamptonshire have experienced high levels of inward migration from Eastern Europe and other countries over the past few years. Although there is lots of evidence of this taking place, there are few reliable statistics on the numbers and characteristics of this population. Population movements are difficult to keep track of because they are often of a short-term nature.
