Knowledge Management

Northamptonshire is an increasingly critical part of the United Kingdom placed as it is in the heart of the country. Set against this geographical context it is important to ensure the public service organisations have a strong grasp of the data and information relating to their communities and residents alongside the geographical differences across the county. This will be crucial to the development of efficient and proactive service provision.

Leadership 66

There is an emerging need, identified from within the Northamptonshire Partnership for members and officers to develop new ways of working to deliver on the outcomes of the sustainable communities strategy and other key policy drivers. This approach includes the need for a commonality of purpose, mutual trust and greater opportunities to identify service improvements and efficiencies across the whole of the Northamptonshire public sector. Enhanced political leadership and partner relationships are essential to drive the changes necessary for Northamptonshire to address the many challenges it faces, not least growth, the economic situation and future funding challenges facing the sector.

Local Area Agreement (LAA)

Local Area Agreements are a new Government initiative which provides the framework to find local solutions for local people. They have the potential to bring about a real improvement in collaborative working, by ensuring that all sectors improve their understanding of each other.

Local Economic Assessment (LEA)

The Local Economic Assessment (LEA) is a new statutory duty placed on county councils.

Northamptonshire STEAM Tourism Statistics

The Scarborough Tourism Activity Monitor(STEAM) is derived from a model developed by David Jones and Frank Hart in the process of developing a 10-year tourism policy for the province of Saskatchewan, Canada in 1981. Explore Northamptonshire commissioned a STEAM report for Northamptonshire in 2005.
