Northamptonshire has a network of Local Infrastructure Organisations providing support to frontline voluntary and community groups to enable the sector to develop and meet the challenges of the environment in which it operates.

 

The local Infrastructure Organisations have facilitated the creation of district based Voluntary and Community Sector networks or fora bringing together representatives from a whole range of voluntary and community organisations and groups to work to have a collective voice. This project is now focusing on developing the Countywide Forum and the routes for communication between the voluntary & community sector and it’s partners at a Countywide level.

 

Following the establishment of a Shadow Steering Group for the Countywide Forum, the attached documents have been agreed in draft at the latest Shadow Steering Group meeting.  The documents form the way in which the new Countywide Forum will operate.  We are now looking for feedback from the sector on these documents and have started a consultation which will end 12 weeks from 24th February 2010.  Any feedback on the documents should be sent to the email address countywideforum@northampton-volunteers.org.uk or sent  in writing for my attention at the address below.
