The Employment and Labour Market Assessment 2004 is one of a number of innovative measures part financed by the European Commission under Article 6 of the European Social Fund Regulation. Northamptonshire County Council commissioned Matters of Fact to produce the first one in 2004 and the Northamptonshire Observatory published the subsequent ones in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Economic & Labour Market Assessments include the economic context, infrastructure and property, competitive business, workforce and skills, with a wealth of statistics. The full reports are now available as pdfs and all the datasets are available as downloadable spreadsheets. Wherever possible these datasets are updated on an annual basis. Please note that the 2007, 2008 and 2009 versions use the Annual Population Survey as a proxy for the Census data. The 2007, 2008 and versions also include comparisons with other authorities in the Milton Keynes South Midlands growth area.
