What is the Northamptonshire Partnership?
The Northamptonshire Partnership is made up of agencies across the public sector all working together to deliver better outcomes for residents using their services in Northamptonshire. It is the overarching partnership for the county and will provide leadership and direction for collaborative working in Northamptonshire and facing out into the wider region and beyond.
It will have a key relationship with the countywide Sustainable Communities Strategy and delivery plan – the Local Area Agreement.
The Public Service Board works on behalf of the Northamptonshire Partnership to help in the delivery of the Northamptonshire Sustainable Communities Strategy and the Local Area Agreement.
The Northamptonshire Public Service Board
The Northamptonshire Public Service Board (PSB) was set up in March 2008 and comprises of leaders from Northamptonshire County Council and district and borough councils as well as leaders from key service delivery agencies such as Northamptonshire Teaching Primary Care Trust, Northamptonshire Police Authority, Northamptonshire Police, University of Northampton, Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd, West Northamptonshire Development Corporation and North Northamptonshire Development Company and the Voluntary Sector.
The vision and aim of the Northamptonshire Public Service Board is to:
'Develop and strengthen sustainable communities by delivering real improvements in the quality of life for everyone in Northamptonshire'
The board has a set of key principles and these include ensuring that collective effort and work is determined and driven by evidence-based local needs assessment and local intervention, achieve effective flexible use of available funds and resources and to measure progress and manage performance clearly and consistently.
The Northamptonshire Observatory
The Northamptonshire Observatory is the gateway to impartial and objective research, statistics and expertise on the county. It is free, interactive and simple to use.
The Northamptonshire Observatory is a partnership of organisations across the County who aim to share and improve access to quality information on the county, for better and more informed policy and decision making and to prevent duplication of effort.
The Northamptonshire Observatory is designed to be used by anyone - the public sector, journalists, market analysts, business people, trade associations, inward investors, students and anyone who is interested in the County.
It aims to be the single most complete source of data on Northamptonshire anywhere on the world wide web.
